Directly imported from Japan, this premium powertrain features the legendary red-top Type R spec $2.0L$ DOHC i-VTEC motor, factory-equipped with the high-flow RBC intake manifold. Producing a fierce 220 HP from the factory, this package includes the true helical Limited Slip Differential (LSD) manual gearbox—making it one of the most sought-after setups for high-performance track builds, street cars, and premium K-swaps

Installation & Technical Notes

  • Wiring & ECU: The included JDM Euro R ECU (RBC-specific) is programmed for the 2.0L displacement. If installing into a USDM Acura TSX, we recommend using Hondata K-Pro or a KTuner system to account for local fuel octane and emissions sensors.

  • Intake Manifold: Features the high-flow RBC intake manifold from the factory. If swapping into an RSX, verify hood clearance.

  • Drive-by-Wire (DBW): The CL7 Euro R uses a mechanical throttle body. If your vehicle is Drive-by-Wire (like the 06-08 TSX), you must use an adapter or convert to a cable-actuated throttle.

  • Axles & Hubs: In TSX applications, your factory 36mm axles are compatible. For Civic/Integra swaps, use K-swap-specific conversion axles.

  • Service Recommended: For optimum performance, replace the following prior to installation:

    • Timing Chain Tensioner: (Upgrade to Toda or Hybrid Racing for track use).

    • Spark Plugs: NGK Laser Iridium (Grade 7 or 8).

    • MTF: Use Genuine Honda Manual Transmission Fluid (3 Quarts).
