  • Fuel Requirements: This engine is factory-calibrated for high-octane Japanese fuel. It is mandatory to use 93+ octane premium gasoline in the US. A professional dyno-tune is highly recommended upon installation to ensure correct air/fuel ratios and longevity.

  • Maintenance: Before firing up your new engine, install a fresh timing belt, water pump, and oil pump seals. Fill with 5W-40 full-synthetic oil to maintain the health of the high-revving rotating assembly.

  • Harness Compatibility: If you are swapping this into a USDM car, verify that your engine wiring harness plugs match your chassis bulkhead. In most cases, existing engine-side harness clips will interface directly, but professional harness inspection is advised.
