Dual AVCS Wiring Setup: To run this engine as a full Dual AVCS setup in a US-spec EJ255 vehicle, you must use the JDM ECU and route wiring for the exhaust cam sensors.

Standard Intake-Only AVCS Method (Easiest Drop-In): Alternatively, many installers wrap this engine directly into USDM WRX/Forester platforms by simply locking/leaving the exhaust AVCS unplugged (default mechanical timing) and connecting the intake AVCS directly to the US harness.

Tuning Required: Due to the displacement drop from 2.5L to 2.0L and the variance in compression ratio, a professional ECU re-flash, accessport map, or custom dyno tune is strongly required immediately upon installation to ensure correct fueling, safe boost levels, and optimal driveability.
