Installation & Clearance Notes

• Wheel Clearance Requirements (Critical): Because of the massive physical casing profile of the Brembo calipers, standard base 16" and 17" WRX wheels will not clear the face of the front calipers. Installers must utilize wheels explicitly designed with high-pad spoke clearance (such as factory 17" Version 7 or 2004 STI wheels, or aftermarket performance wheels with an appropriate face profile).

• Rear Caliper Adapter Notice: When retrofitting this kit onto a base WRX or Forester XT chassis, the installer will need aftermarket rear caliper bracket conversion adapters and matching oversized 5x100 rear brake rotors to adjust for the wider caliper mounting tabs.

• Fluid System Care: It is highly recommended to flush out all old hydraulic lines and replace them with DOT 4 high-temperature racing brake fluid to achieve firm pedal feel and maximum thermal efficiency.

• Preventative Maintenance: While the pistons and boots have been inspected, it is a best practice to install brand new performance brake pads and either resurface or replace the rotors prior to final assembly.
